Apply now to be a tutor for Learning With Success!

Thank you for your interest in registering to be a tutor for LWS.

To apply, please fill in the form below. We strongly recommend that you read it through entirely before you begin typing. It is a fairly long form and asks for things that you might not have immediately available, notably a few documents that need to be uploaded near the bottom of the form. Should you have any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Personal information

The following personal information is needed for us to contact you. For your first name(s) please also indicate how you prefer to be addressed. Your email address will be used both to contact you and as your 'username' on our system.

Please note that your date of birth and gender are only used to better match you with clients. Many parents express a preference for a male or female tutor, for example. We are careful never to discriminate in our registration process.

Qualifications and relevant experience

What is your current employment? Or, if you are a student, what is your current course of study?

Do you have any relevant tutoring or teaching qualifications? If not, please say 'none'.

Do you have any experience working with students with Special Educational Needs?

CRB disclosure

Do you already have a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure? If not, you are likely to be asked to obtain one before we can find any tutoring work for you.

Travel

Do you have a car or are you limited to public transport? How far (or for how long) are you willing to travel to get to a student's home? Our tutors vary a great deal in their willingness to travel, so this information is key to matching you up with the most suitable clients.

CV and other files to upload

Your CV should be a Word document, a PDF or an OpenOffice/LibreOffice document, although other formats are likely to be acceptable.

Your cover letter should tell us about yourself in a way that your CV does not. Tell us about your experiences and what you enjoy most about tutoring. If you do not have teaching experience, tell us why you feel that you would be a good tutor. This is your opportunity to show us your passion for teaching, tutoring and learning.

Please upload a recent passport-style photograph of yourself. Note that uploading large photos is likely to take a while, so for your convenience we recommend a maximum of about 1000 pixels in both the horizontal or vertical dimensions.
